Syracuse fell off the list of undefeated teams with an 83-79 loss to Temple on Saturday, and it dropped the Orange four spots to No. 7 in the latest USA Today Coaches Poll.

After losing for the first time this season, Syracuse dropped four spots to No. 7 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.


Duke remained the No. 1 team in the coaches poll, while Michigan held on to the No. 2 spot. With Syracuse falling from No. 3 to No. 7, Arizona and Louisville moved up into a tie for No. 3. Indiana and Kansas also moved up ahead of Syracuse, while Cincinnati and Missouri broke into the top 10.
The Bearcats moved up three spots to No. 8, while Missouri’s win against Illinois propelled them from No. 12 to No. 9. Ohio State dropped three spots after losing to Kansas, but rounded out the top 10 at No. 10.
New Mexico dropped the furthest this week, falling out of the rankings after checking in at No. 17 last week. North Carolina also dropped out after being ranked No. 19 a week ago. Illinois dropped five spots to No. 15 after losing to Missouri.
