NC State cruised to any easy win on New Year’s Eve over UNC Greensboro.

USA TODAY Sports

No. 21 North Carolina State used a strong finish in the first half to pull away from UNC Greensboro on Monday, winning XX-XX at PNC Arena in Raleigh, NC.

The UNC Greensboro Spartans kept the game close for most of the first half, taking a brief 32-30 lead with just under three minutes remaining, before the Wolfpack finished out with a 13-4 run to take full control of the game. NC State extended the halftime lead with a 17-6 run to start the second half and never looked back the remainder of the game.

Led by forward C.J. Leslie, who finished with 19 points and eight rebounds, the Wolfpack shot 55.8 percent from the floor and 6-of-13 from long distance. Five NC State players finished with double-digit points, including T.J Warren who netted 13 points off the bench.

The Wolfpack move to 11-2 on the season and will have most of the week off before taking on Boston College at 4 p.m. ET on Jan. 5.
