No. 18 New Mexico forced 22 turnovers on its way to a 65-52 win over Valparaiso on Saturday night.


Demetrius Walker, Chad Adams and Alex Kirk each scored 12 points and did not commit a single turnover to lead the Lobos. Guard Kendall Williams played 36 minutes, the most of any New Mexico player, and filled the stat sheet with an assortment of contributions -- five points, six assists, four rebounds and three steals.
Ryan Broekhoff scored 24 points for Valparaiso on 8-of-14 shooting, 5-of-10 from behind the three point line, but no other player could top seven against the Lobos' defense. Eight players committed a turnover for the Crusaders, totaling 22 turnovers compared to only 12 assists.
New Mexico moves to 10-0 on the season with the win. The Lobos' next contest comes on Saturday, Dec. 15 at home against their cross-state rival New Mexico State.
Valparaiso drops to 6-3 following the loss. The Crusaders will look to get back in the win column next Saturday on the road against Missouri State.
