As the No. 21 UNLV Runnin' Rebels battled California on Sunday evening, they lost star forward Mike Moser to a serious injury. According to a tweet from CBS Sports' Doug Gottlieb, Moser dislocated his right elbow in the first half and will not return.
Mike Moser injury: UNLV star dislocates right elbow
The Runnin’ Rebels could be without Moser for a considerable amount of time after suffering an injury on Sunday.

Moser, a 6-8 junior who was named to the Wooden Award Preseason Watch List last month, is averaging 12.3 points and nearly 10 rebounds a game. He plays a little more than 30 minutes a game for UNLV.
It is unclear how much time Moser will miss, although one of the team’s beat writers speculated that he could miss an entire month. That would be a big blow to coach Dave Rice’s team, especially with a couple of tough games on the horizon. UNLV is set to open conference play on January 9.
Meanwhile, CBS’ Gary Parrish is reporting that Moser’s “worst-case scenario would end his season.”
The Runnin’ Rebels beat California Sunday night, 76-75, on Quintrell Thomas’ basket with just 1.2 seconds remaining. Moser entered the game averaging 12.3 points and 9.2 rebounds this season.
