No. 17 Notre Dame vs. Connecticut final score: Huskies upset Irish, 65-58
Connecticut and Notre Dame went down to the wire on Saturday in South Bend. One UConn player set the tone offensively early in the second half, and came up big defensively later, to propel the Huskies to the upset.

UConn forward Tyler Olander made 8-of-9 shots for 16 points and pulled down six rebounds and came up with a huge block with 32 seconds left to lead the Huskies, who outscored the Irish in the second half, 36-27, to leave South Bend with a tough road win. Shabazz Napier, the Big East's sixth-leading scorer, chipped in 19 points for the Huskies.
The Huskies shot better than 50 percent from the field thanks to Olander and Napier, who combined to make 16-of-22 shots. Meanwhile, Notre Dame gave itself a multitude of opportunities thanks to strong offensive rebounding down the stretch, but the Irish went cold for a stretch in the second half, particularly from inside the three-point line.
The Huskies (12-3) will try for a second-consecutive win over a ranked team on Monday when the No. 3 Louisville Cardinals pay a visit to Connecticut. Notre Dame (14-2) will attempt to bounce back on the road against St. John's on Tuesday.
