Georgetown’s Greg Whittington suspended for a second straight game
Georgetown will be without second leading scorer and rebounder Greg Whittington once again on Wednesday. The starting forward will miss his second straight game because of an unspecified violation of team rules.

Whittington, the team’s second leading scorer (12.1 ppg) and rebounder (7.0 rpg), did not travel with the team for last Saturday’s game at St. John’s. He will be on the bench for Wednesday’s game against Seton Hall, but Thompson III says he will not play.
“You’re going to see him, but he’s not going to be playing,” Thompson said.
When asked whether a multiple game suspension meant Whittington’s transgression was significant, Thompson responded, “Yes.” He added that there was currently no timetable for Whittington’s return to the floor.
Without Whittington on Saturday, Georgetown snapped a two-game losing streak by defeating St. John’s, 67-51. The Hoyas got up and down much more than they had in recent weeks, and had three players score in double figures. Sophomore forward Otto Porter led the rout with 19 points and 14 rebounds.
