Butler may have been without leading-scorer Rotnei Clarke, but it didn't show on Wednesday night, as the Bulldogs easily dropped Richmond, 62-47.
No. 13 Butler vs. Richmond final score: Without Clarke, Bulldogs win 62-47
Andrew Smith had 15 points and 7 rebounds in the win.

Picking up the slack for Butler was Andrew Smith, who had 15 points and 7 rebounds. Clarke, who is averaging 16.3 points per game, suffered a sprained neck last Saturday in a win against Dayton.
Butler had little trouble early on, as it jumped out to a 33-21 halftime lead. Richmond made just eight field goals in the half.
The difference in the game had little to do with Clarke, though, as the Bulldogs owned the Spiders on the boards. Butler finished the game with a rebounding edge of 47-18.
The Bulldogs will play a massive game between mid-majors when they host Gonzaga on Saturday. Unfortunately for Butler, Clarke has already been ruled out for that game.
Brad Stevens’ crew will enter that game winners of 12 straight games.
