The 300-pound center will try to resurrect his status across the country.

The 6’10 Smith chose Georgetown over Kansas after UCLA granted his release in late November. It’ll be a big shift across the country for Smith, who grew up in Washington state.
Conditioning has been an issue for Smith, who was a top recruit a few years ago. The junior weighs in at 305 pounds.
Smith has seen his time and production drop since joining the team in 2010-2011. As a freshman, he averaged 10.9 points and 6.3 rebounds per game while playing 22 minutes per game. Since then, all of his numbers have dropped.
As a sophomore, he averaged 9.9 points and 4.9 rebounds per game, but his minutes dropped by five per game. This season, he averaged just 14 minutes and 5.2 points per game.
Smith’s last game with UCLA came Nov. 25 in an upset loss to Cal Poly. Smith scored two points in nine minutes off the bench.
