Florida State Seminoles forward Terrance Shannon was released from the University of Virginia Medical Center on Sunday, according to Ira Schoffel of NoleSports.com. Shannon was wheeled off the court on a stretcher late in Florida State's 56-36 loss to the Virginia Cavaliers on Saturday after suffering a neck sprain.

At the 3:59 mark in the second half, Shannon collided head-first with Virginia's Evan Nolte and crumbled to the floor, where he lay motionless for 10 minutes before being placed onto a stretcher. However, despite the fact that he didn't move, Shannon was conscious and displayed awareness while being tended to on the court, according to Seminoles head coach Leonard Hamilton (via USA Today).
Shannon suffered a minor neck injury earlier this season, and missed all but seven games last season after having shoulder surgery. Shannon, a junior out of Forsyth, Ga., is averaging 8.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per game for the 10-7 Seminoles.
