No. 15 New Mexico vs. Colorado State final score: Lobos dispatch of Rams, 66-61

New Mexico stays perfect in Mountain West Conference play with a win over Colorado State.

The No. 15 New Mexico Lobos continued their hot season Wednesday night, edging out the Colorado State Rams, 66-61. Neither team shot particularly well on the evening, with Colorado State just beating New Mexico in that category, shooting 36.8 percent from the field compared to 36.5 for New Mexico. It was the Rams' free throw shooting that betrayed them, though, as they connected on just 56.5 percent of their charity shots.

The Rams got double-digit scoring from three players, including Wes Eikmeier. Eikmeier ended the night with 20 points, including going 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. Colton Iverson and Dorian Green also finished in double digits, with 15 and 14 points.

The Lobos had just two players finish in double digits, including Tony Snell, who finished with a game-high 23 points. Chad Adams knocked down 13 of his own points on the evening.

New Mexico faces a tough test on Saturday when they head to California to face the San Diego St. Aztecs. Meanwhile, Colorado St. will head to central California to face the Fresno St. Bulldogs.
