For a while, it looked like the No. 16 Oregon Ducks would be the next ranked team to fall on an upset-filled Wednesday night. They trailed by 10 at halftime to the Washington St. Cougars at home in a sloppy, ugly first half.

Washington State led by 10 at halftime, but Oregon came storming back to take the lead and hold on, 68-61, stifling the Cougars’ upset bid.

Then, Oregon stormed out of the locker room and scored the first nine points of the second half to cut the deficit to one en route to a 68-61 win at home.
Oregon took the lead for good on a layup from Arsalan Kazemi with just under seven minutes to play. E.J. Singler picked up the assist on Kazemi's lay-in. Singler led Oregon with 19 points.
The Cougars' Mike Ladd had 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Washington State dropped to 1-5 in Pac-12 play.
With the win, the Ducks are now 6-0 in the Pac-12 and will next host Washington on Saturday night.
