Although it is unclear exactly how many games he’ll miss, Artis should return to action before the end of the regular season, per Auerbach. Artis, a freshman from Oakland, Calif., is averaging 10.2 points and 3.8 assists per game for the No. 16 Ducks, who are 6-0 in Pac-12 play and 17-2 overall. Artis is one of five players scoring in double figures for Dana Altman’s team.
Johnathan Loyd could start in place of Artis, who scored 14 points and dished out six assists in a win at UCLA on Jan. 19. Loyd, a junior from Las Vegas, Nev., averages 2.8 points and 2.2 assists per game off the bench.
Oregon will take on the Washington Huskies on Saturday night in Eugene, Ore.
