No. 11 Kansas State vs. Iowa State final score: Cyclones take down Wildcats, 73-67

The upset machine rolls on, as Iowa State took down No. 11 Kansas State behind Will Clyburn’s huge performance.

Will Clyburn scored 24 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to help the Iowa State Cyclones upset the No. 11 Kansas State Wildcats, 73-67, on Saturday afternoon in Ames, Iowa.

Kansas State shot the ball well enough to win, but allowed Iowa State to get 10 offensive rebounds, including five from Clyburn. The Wildcats trailed for most of the first half but rallied from six points down to take a one-point lead at halftime. The game remained close throughout the final buzzer, but the Cyclones again held the advantage for the majorirty of the half.

Iowa State never led by more than six points in either half, but was able to fend off the Wildcats every time they tried to put a run together.

Will Spradling scored 15 points to lead Kansas State, while star guard Rodney McGruder pitched in 13 points and seven rebounds.

Georges Niang scored 14 points for the Cyclones, and Korie Lucious finished with 10 points and eight assists.
