The No. 3 Kansas Jayhawks led for all but two minutes of play as they defeated the Oklahoma Sooners, 67-54, Saturday afternoon in Lawrence, Kan.

Kansas held Oklahoma to just 35.6 percent from the field and limited the Sooners' leading scorer, Romero Osby, to 12 points on 4-of-16 shooting. The Sooners converted just three times on 12 attempts from beyond the 3-point arc.

The Jayhawks have now won 17 in a row since losing to Michigan State back in November. It was also their 33rd consecutive win at Allen Fieldhouse. The Sooners have now lost two out of three since beginning Big 12 play at 3-0.

Kansas went ahead for good on five straight points from Ben McLemore early in the first half, including three straight at the line after getting fouled on a 3-pointer. McLemore finished the game with 18 points to lead the Jayhawks. Center Jeff Withey (13 points) and guard Travis Releford (10 points) also hit double figures in scoring.

Amath M'Baye joined Osby with 12 points to lead the Sooners. Andrew Fitzgerald came off the bench to add eight rebounds.
