No. 1 Duke vs. Wake Forest final score: Blue Devils roll to first conference win, 80-62

Duke had little trouble topping the Demon Deacons, earning its first conference win on strong performances by Ryan Kelly and Seth Curry.

The Duke Blue Devils opened up conference play with a win for the sixth-straight season, beating the Wake Forest Demon Deacons 80-62 on Saturday afternoon at Cameron Indoor Stadium. With the victory, Duke (14-0) remains unbeaten on the year and extends its winning streak against Wake Forest to six games.

The duo of Seth Curry and Ryan Kelly set the tone early, scoring 31 of the Blue Devils' 41 first-half points. Each recorded 22 points and both found the stroke from beyond the arc, combining for 8-of-14 shooting. Big man Mason Plumlee registered his ninth double-double of the season with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

For Wake Forest, C.J. Harris and and Travis McKie led the way with 19 and 22 points, respectively. McKie also added 12 boards for his third double-double of the year. Duke's defense stymied the Demon Deacons and forced 19 turnovers.

The Blue Devils will finish off their homestand against Clemson on Jan. 8, while Wake Forest will attempt to get back on track and pick up its first ACC win against Virginia on Jan. 9.
