No. 3 Louisville vs. Seton Hall final score: Cardinals pull away in second half for 73-58 win

Seton Hall shot poorly from the field, especially beyond the arc.

With forward Chane Behanan sidelined because of an ankle injury, the No. 3 Louisville Cardinals pulled away in the second half from a potential upset, downing the Seton Hall Pirates, 73-58, at the Prudential Center on Wednesday night. The Cardinals remain unblemished in Big East play with the win, while the Pirates dropped their second straight.

Gorgui Dieng finished the evening with a double-double, scoring 16 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in his third game back after breaking his wrist. Behanan's replacement, Montrezl Harrell, finished the game in double figures with 14 points and drained seven of his nine attempts from the field. Russ Smith also finished in double figures with 11 points. Louisville's leading scorer, Peyton Siva, was limited to just seven points on the day; he averages 20 points per game.

The Pirates got 18 points from Brandon Mobley, good enough for a team- and game-high. Eugene Teague scored 14 points and notched 10 boards, but the big man turned the ball over six times. Fuquan Edwin and Aaron Cosby finished with 13 and 11 points, but Cosby made just one of his 10 shots from the field.

Neither team shot particularly well from beyond the arc, with Louisville knocking down just 33.3 percent of their shots from outside while Seton Hall hit just 25 percent. Louisville continues their conference schedule against the South Florida Bulls on Saturday, while Seton Hall faces off against the Providence Friars on Sunday.
