It didn't take long for star guard Brandon Paul to leave his mark all over Illinois' conference tilt with No. 10 Minnesota on Wednesday. Paul delivered what's sure to be one of the top plays in a busy night of college hoops action with a straight-up posterization of Minnesota's Trevor Mbakwe early in the first half.

Boom. Shaka. Laka.

Paul dunked hard enough to give himself a bloody nose on the play, which caused him to exit the game for several possessions. When he returned to action, the man commonly referred to as BP3 by Illini fans had a different jersey: No. 12.

Paul, a senior, has had his fair share of memorable moments in his college career -- most notably a 43-point effort in a home game against Ohio State last season. It doesn’t feel like a stretch to say this dunk will be immediately added to his growing legend.
