No. 20 NC State vs. Georgia Tech final score: Wolfpack win, 83-70, behind strong second half

Four Wolfpack players finished in double figures in the win.

After trailing by a point at halftime, the No. 20 N.C. State Wolfpack asserted themselves in the second frame, outscoring the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 46-32, on their way to a 83-70 win at PNC Arena. Poor shooting from the Yellow Jackets doomed their upset bid, as they hit just 37 percent of their shots compared to the Wolfpack's 50.9 percent clip from the floor.

N.C. State used just eight players against Georgia Tech, with Lorenzo Brown topping all scorers. He finished with 21 points on the evening, trailed by Scott Wood and C.J. Leslie who notched 20 and 19 points. Rodney Pervis knocked down 13 points of his own, while Richard Howell grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds in addition to his six points.

Three players ended the night in double figures for Georgia Tech, as Daniel Miller knocked down 15 points. Mfon Udofia contributed 13 points, while Robert Carter Jr. snuck into double digits in the points column with 12.

The Wolfpack stayed perfect in early ACC play with the win and face a tough test this Saturday when they face the No. 1 Duke Blue Devils at home. Meanwhile, the Yellow Jackets will still be looking for their first conference win against the Virginia Tech Hokies this Saturday.
