The Beavers will be without two important players in their frontcourt to start the season.

Oregon State Beavers forward Eric Moreland will be suspended 14 games to start the season, while forward Devon Collier will be suspended for one regular-season game and both of the team's exhibitions, according to Jeff Borzello of CBSSports.com.

Both Moreland and Collier were suspended indefinitely over the summer, and Beavers coach Craig Robinson announced the suspensions had been made definite at Tuesday's media day. The first game at which Moreland will be eligible to return will be Jan. 9 against the Stanford Cardinal.

Collier averaged 12.6 points and 6.0 rebounds last season, and Moreland averaged 9.4 points and 10.6 rebounds as a sophomore. The Beavers will have starting center Angus Brandt back after a torn ACL ended his 2012-13 season in November to help bolster the Oregon State frontcourt while Moreland waits out his suspension.

Oregon State finished 14-18 last season and 4-14 in Pac-12 play. The Beavers have not appeared in the NCAA Tournament since 1990.
