Louisville vs. Hofstra final score: Cardinals cruise to easy victory, 97-69
Russ Smith had a big night as the Cardinals cruised to an easy win.

Smith had a stellar line on the evening, finishing with 30 points, three rebounds, five assists, two steals and only one turnover.
Chris Jones and Montrezl Harrell filled in much of the rest of the offense for the Cardinals, who shot close to 52 percent as a team. It was a big offensive game for Louisville, but the defense was on absolute lockdown. The Cardinals forced 22 turnovers, and it looks like the Cardinals defense is just as good as it was last season. Through two games, the Cardinals have forced 43 turnovers.
Dion Nesmith led the Pride with 24 points and six assists, and Zeke Upshaw added 17 points. Other than that, the Pride struggled to find a decent shot, as the rest of the team shot around 40 percent from the floor.
