Jahlil Okafor and 3 other top recruits to announce decisions on ESPNU

Four of ESPN’s top 10 in 2014 will reveal their college decisions on Friday.

Guy Rhodes-USA TODAY Sports

Friday marks a huge day in the world of college basketball recruiting, with four of the top 10 in ESPN’s top 100 for 2014 set to announce their college decisions on ESPNU.

The big fish is Jahlil Okafor, the consensus top-ranked player in the class of 2014. The center out of Whitney Young in Chicago will announce at 4 p.m. ET, with his decision coming down to Duke and Kansas. Duke is considered the frontrunner, but Kansas is a close second.

Also announcing at 4 p.m. is Tyus Jones, the No. 4 player in the class. Jones, a point guard from Apple Valley High School in Minnesota, plans on attending the same school as Okafor, so whomever lands the duo would appear to be in great shape for next season.

Following the Okafor/Jones announcement will be Curie’s Cliff Alexander, the third-ranked player in 2014. The Chicago big man is considering Kansas, Illinois, DePaul and Memphis, although most expect it to come down to Kansas and Illinois. Kansas was long considered the favorite for Alexander, but Illinois made a big late move to get right into the thick of things.

Finally, there’s Stanley Johnson, a wing out of Mater Dei in California. The No. 9 player in the class, Johnson is expected to attend Arizona over USC and Kentucky.
