Cliff Alexander commits to Kansas
The consensus top-five recruit will take his talents to Kansas.

Alexander at first reached for the Illinois hat before putting on the KU one:
Alexander selected Kansas over Illinois, DePaul and Memphis. Kansas was long considered the front-runner for the 6’9 power forward’s services, but John Groce and Illinois made a late push to get right back into the thick of things before Alexander ultimately decided on Kansas.
With the addition of Alexander, Kansas now has two five-star recruits committed for 2014. The other is Kelly Oubre, a 6’7 wing out of Findlay Prep.
Along with fellow Chicagoan Jahlil Okafor, Alexander should be one of the most dominant post players in the country next season. Alexander is big and strong with excellent athleticism, and while his post game requires some polish, there’s loads of potential already there.
