In this weekend’s only meeting between ranked teams, No. 17 Marquette will play host to No. 10 Ohio State Saturday afternoon. The game will be the first test of each team’s true ability, as the Golden Eagles and the Buckeyes have beat up on their non-conference opponents on their way to 2-0 starts.
College basketball schedule: No. 17 Marquette hosts No. 10 Ohio State in Top 25 clash
At least one ranked team will leave Saturday with a loss, as the 2-0 Golden Eagles host the 2-0 Buckeyes.

Ohio State is loaded this season, with Lenzelle Smith Jr. and LaQuinton Ross poised to have excellent years. Aaron Craft brings leadership and ice water in his veins, while the Buckeyes have size and experience down low. Davante Gardner is the player to watch for Marquette; the 6'8 forward is averaging 17.3 points per game on the season.
No. 20 Wisconsin is coming off a big win over No. 11 Florida, and should further pad their resume against Green Bay. Barring a disaster against the mid-major, the Badgers should shoot up in the polls come Monday.
Creighton is building a case as a Top 25 team, with two-time All-American Doug McDermott leading the charge against St. Joseph’s. A win will secure a 3-0 start to the season, which should bump the Bluejays into the rankings.
Another team trying to crash the poll is Tennessee, who will play USC Upstate. If you’ll remember, Upstate already notched a win against a school in a power conference when it beat Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. You’re on Upset Watch, Volunteers.
