Guard Jordan Adams did it on both ends Monday night. In the UCLA Bruins' 86-50 victory against the Sacramento State Hornets, the sophomore scored 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting and recorded eight steals to lead Steve Alford's team to its third win in three games.

The Hornets hung with the Bruins and even took a 10-9 lead seven minutes into the game thanks to a three-pointer by Dylan Garrity, but UCLA began to pull away in the final minutes of the first half, using a 9-2 run over the final four minutes to take a 36-23 halftime lead.
Garrity led Sacramento State with 18 points in the Hornets’ loss.
To start the second half, the Bruins scored eight points via layups or dunks and raced away with the game on a 26-7 run that kept the Hornets’ from providing any drama in Pauley Pavilion.

Starting guard Norman Powell and freshman reserve Zach LaVine scored 14 points apiece for the Bruins, who also got an all-around effort from do-it-all forward Kyle Anderson. He finished with eight points, eight assists and six rebounds.
UCLA shot 55 percent for the game and held Sacramento State to 34 percent. The Hornets also had 18 turnovers on the day.
