Senior Ian Miller had a huge game off the bench for Florida State, scoring a game-high 22 points, grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out four assists. He also made all eight of his free-throw attempts.
VCU struggled as a team. The Rams shot 22 percent from beyond the arc and 33 percent overall. Florida State was on fire from the field, shooting 58 percent from the field while controlling the glass. The Seminoles pulled down 19 more rebounds than VCU. Okaro White and Montay Brandon each grabbed a game-high nine rebounds
Treveon Graham, VCU's leading scorer going into the contest, struggled from the field. The Junior guard scored just 14 points on 4-of-11 shooting. He made one of his five three-point attempts.
