Shabazz Napier scored a game-high 27 points to lead the No. 18 Connecticut Huskies past the Indiana Hoosiers, 59-58, in the 2K Sports Classic Championship Game at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday.

Napier scored 16 of his points in the second half, including a go-ahead layup with 1:36 remaining. The two teams exchanged missed baskets and turnovers until the final possession, when Indiana couldn’t get a shot off in time after retaining possession with 0.7 seconds remaining.
Friday marked a large departure from the previous day for Indiana, which shot 51.5 percent from the floor en route to a 102-point performance in a win over Washington in the semifinals. The Huskies held the Hoosiers to a 40.8-percent clip in the championship round. Indiana’s leading scorer Yogi Ferrell made only 6-of-19 field goal attempts, though he finished with 19 points, which is near his season average.
