The Florida Gators got a bit of good news after it was announced senior point guard Scottie Wilbekin will make his season debut against the Jacksonville Dolphins on Monday, Andy Katz of ESPN reported Sunday.
Scottie Wilbekin back on Florida basketball team
The Gators will have a true point guard in time for their tough December slate.

The news couldn't come at a better time for the Gators, who lost freshman point guard Kasey Hill to an ankle injury in the team's recent win over Southern. Without Hill, the Gators had to improvise without a true point guard to take the floor.
Wilbekin was suspended indefinitely in June for a violation of team rules. It was the second time in a year that coach Billy Donovan suspended the guard. Wilbekin sat out the first three games of last season after being suspended for unspecified team violations.
The senior guard averaged 9.1 points and five assists for the Gators last season. Hill performed admirably in his absence, averaging 10.3 points and 4.3 assists before going down with the injury. Hill is expected to miss a month.
With Wilbekin, all hope isn't lost in Gainesville, though the Gators own one of the more brutal stretches in college basketball in December. They open the month on the road against the Connecticut Huskies, then return home to take on the Kansas Jayhawks and the Memphis Tigers in back-to-back games.
