Chane Behanan’s Final Four ring discovered in online auction

Chane Behanan’s Final Four ring will not be sold at auction, according to the Louisville forward’s mother. The ring had gone up for bidding online at Grey Flannel Auctions, a company based in Westhampton, N.Y. Behanan’s mother, Heaven Warren, informed the company the ring had been stolen, ending the auction.

Behanan earned the ring as part of Louisville’s 2012 run to the Final Four. Each of the four teams that made it to that leg of the tournament received customized rings for their coaches and players. Behanan’s ring was customized with his name and jersey number.

Warren told the Associated Press that her son had left the ring in the care of his grandmother, and it was from her house that the ring was stolen. Behanan’s grandmother hadn’t noticed the ring missing until Warren informed her that it had gone up for auction. The family is currently awaiting the shipment of the ring from Grey Flannel; nobody from the company could be reached for comment.
