Kentucky 95, Montevallo 72: As usual, it was all freshman for Kentucky on Monday. Julius Randle had a double-double, scoring 21 and grabbing 11 rebounds for the Wildcats. In the exhibition, Kentucky's James Young added 16 points for his own team and did some work around Montevallo's basket as well. After a Willie Cauley-Stein block, Young tracked down the ball by the sideline and whipped the ball behind his back. The result? Well, his hustle wasn't exactly rewarded.

Freshmen were at it again for Kentucky as Julius Randle and James Young scored a combined 37 in a win over Montevallo.


Alabama 65, West Georgia 64 (OT): The Tide barely escaped with a win, with Trevor Releford hitting some key free throws in the overtime period. Still, West Georgia? C'mon man.
Purdue 91, Wayne State 58: Senior Errick Peck led the way for the Boilermakers with 16 points and six rebounds, while Ronnie Johnson dished out six assists. Freshman Kendall Stephens was a bright spot, sinking three of five shots from downtown en route to nine points.
Florida State 76, Flagler 47: Seniors led the way for Florida State, with Okaro White scoring 23 and Robert Gilchrist chipping in 16. Sophomore Devon Bookert added 12 heading into his second season as a starter. Florida State opens the regular season against Jacksonville on Friday.
Oklahoma 88, Oklahoma Christian 76: The Sooners trailed by three points at halftime, but got 29 from sophomore guard Buddy Hield to overtake their Division II counterparts.
