Andrew Wiggins and the first of many monster dunks

Get used to seeing these things on the SportsCenter highlight reel all year.

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The star power of Andrew Wiggins rose above the stratosphere before he even played one game of college basketball. Luckily, as the above video shows, his hype was more than worth the wait.

In an exhibition game against Fort Hays State, Wiggins ran the court effortlessly and threw down a Frank Mason alley-oop with such ferociousness you would've thought the Division II school had wronged his entire family.

The dunk was a big one and rightfully ended up as a nominee for SportsCenter Top 10. Let’s hope for everyone’s entertainment that it is the first of many this year.

Wiggins finished the game with a very human line of 10 points, three rebounds and two blocks in 20 minutes. The Jayhawks also won the game 92-75.

The Jayhawks open the season at home on Friday with a warm-up against the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks. After that, Wiggins and the Jayhawks face Jabari Parker and the Duke Blue Devils on Nov. 12.
