Utah State Aggies big man Jarred Shaw was suspended indefinitely on Monday for violating team rules, head coach Stew Morrill announced.
Jarred Shaw, Utah State’s leading scorer, suspended indefinitely
The Aggies will be without Shaw for the time being because he violated team rules.

The Aggies will feel Shaw’s absence, as he is an integral part of the team. Through eight games, the senior is averaging 16.1 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game, all team highs. Shaw is shooting 54.3 percent from the field and a team-best 87.1 percent from the free throw line.
There are no details as to what rule he violated or how long he may be sidelined at this time. With Shaw out of the lineup, Utah State could bump up the playing time of backup big man Jordan Stone, a junior who is averaging 3.1 points and 2.8 rebounds in 10.1 minutes per game this season.
The Aggies have a 6-2 record and will play three games this week in the Basketball Travelers, Inc. Classic. Utah State will face Western Illinois on Thursday, UC Santa Barbara on Friday and Troy on Saturday.
