No one player had a huge night for the No. 6 Louisville Cardinals, but the sum of their efforts amounted to a 90-60 home win over the Missouri State Bears on Tuesday. Montrezl Harrell led four Cardinals in double figures with 17 points.
Louisville vs. Missouri State final score: No. 6 Cardinals cruise to 90-60 win
Louisville nearly grabbed two rebounds for every one Missouri State had.
The Cardinals coasted to a 47-24 halftime lead, and the scoring came from pretty much everywhere. Louisville was 18-of-33 from the field in the first half, and only two players attempted more than four shots: Chris Jones took seven attempts, and Terry Rozier took five.
Louisville’s size and athleticism advantage was just as evident on the boards as it was on the scoreboard. The Cardinals out-rebounded the Bears 27-10 in the first half and finished with the game up 51-30 on the glass.
Entering Tuesday's game, Missouri State's only loss was an 83-63 neutral-court loss to the Virginia Cavaliers.
Louisville plays its next four games on the road: Saturday at Florida International and Dec. 28 at No. 19 Kentucky before starting league play in the American Athletic Conference.
