Reigning Conference USA Freshman of the Year Danuel House is out indefinitely after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery on Monday, Houston coach James Dickey said during his weekly press conference. The sophomore guard is expected to return before the end of the season.
Houston’s Danuel House out indefinitely after undergoing knee surgery
The Cougars’ second leading-scorer underwent knee surgery on Monday, but is expected to return before the end of the season.

House is the second-leading scorer for the 6-2 Cougars, averaging 15.6 points to go with 5.7 rebounds. He was the team’s third-leading scorer a season ago when he averaged 12.4 ppg.
The loss is a huge blow to a Houston team that dropped its first two games of the season last week, and which is headed to Texas A&M for an in-state showdown on Thursday. The Cougars will begin their first season as a member of the American Athletic Conference when they host No. 12 Connecticut on New Year’s Eve.
