Duke forward Alex Murphy will transfer to another program at the end of the fall semester, a source tells CBSSports.com.
Duke’s Alex Murphy plans to transfer at semester’s end
The brother of former Florida star Erik Murphy has a season and-a-half of eligibility remaining.

Murphy, a 6’9 redshirt sophomore, has played just 33 minutes and totaled just five points this season, and had not appeared in four of Duke’s last five games. He averaged 2.1 points and 1.0 rebounds while appearing in 31 games for the Blue Devils last season.
Since Murphy redshirted his freshman season at Duke, he will have just a season and-a-half of eligibility remaining when he becomes eligible to take the court after the fall semester of the 2014-15 season.
Though Murphy hasn’t publicly discussed his options, one possible transfer destination is Florida, where his brother, current Chicago Bull Erik Murphy, once starred.
