The No. 23 Iowa Hawkeyes coasted through Monday's matchup with Fairleigh Dickinson, a 92-59 home win, and stayed on their current hot streak heading into their toughest test of the season: Friday's trip halfway across the Hawkeye State to take on the No. 17 Iowa State Cyclones.

It will be the first time since 1987 that both Iowa and Iowa State will be ranked at the time of the game.
The Hawkeyes (10-1) have only faltered in an 88-83 loss to No. 10 Villanova on Nov. 30, mostly thanks to their high-powered offense. They’ve scored at least 80 points in 10 of their 11 games, and the efficient offense didn’t take the night off Monday. Ten players for Fran McCaffery’s Hawkeyes played between 10 and 24 minutes (none played more), and five scored in double figures.
Iowa gave the Knights (3-9) no chance from the opening tip, going on a 19-0 run early in the game. That was that. Iowa finished 34-of-70 from the field and had assists on 19 of those makes.
Gabriel Olaseni led Iowa with 14 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. Melsahn Basabe (12 points, 11 rebounds) and Jarrod Uthoff (10 points, 10 rebounds) also had double-doubles for the Hawkeyes.
