College basketball rankings: Indiana stays at No. 1 in AP Poll

Despite a last second loss to Illinois, the Hoosiers remain ahead of Duke in the latest AP Poll.

The Indiana Hoosiers stay at the top of the AP Poll after their impressive road win over Ohio State on Sunday. The Hoosiers did suffer a loss last week at Illinois at the buzzer, but nearly everyone else in the top five also lost, opening up the possibility for Tom Crean’s team to stay in the top spot. Indiana has a relatively easy week (for B1G standards) coming up with home games against Nebraska and Purdue so a third straight week at No. 1 is likely.

Duke was one of the few teams not to lose this week, but they took things down to the final possession against lowly Boston College on Sunday. They received the second-most first place votes, but Indiana’s impressive Sunday win and the Blue Devils’ underwhelming victory apparently made enough of an impression on the voters.

The biggest mover this week is the Miami Hurricanes, who jumped from No. 8 all the way up to No. 3 and received several first-place votes. The Canes continue to blow away the ACC competition, picking up another double-digit win on Tobacco Road. They’re back on the road again this week, facing cross-state rival Florida State as they attempt to stay undefeated in the conference. Here’s the rest of the AP top 25 for Week 15 of the season:
