No. 1 Indiana vs. Nebraska final score: Hoosiers cruise to 76-47 win

The Hoosiers protected their No. 1 ranking on Wednesday night with a convincing performance over Nebraska.

The Indiana Hoosiers disposed of the Nebraska Cornhuskers with ease on Wednesday night, defeating their Big Ten foes by a score of 76-47. With the win, IU is now 22-3 on the season with a 10-2 mark in conference play.

Indiana moved out to an early lead and never looked back. They held a nine-point advantage by halftime and grew that lead throughout the final 20 minutes of play. As a team, the Hoosiers shot 46 percent from the field, 50 percent from behind the three-point arc and made 24 of their 29 free throw attempts.

The Hoosiers used a balanced scoring attack to take down Nebraska. Six players had at least eight points, while Cody Zeller led the way with 16 points and five rebounds. Victor Oladipo and Christian Watford added 13 points each, with Watford additionally recording a double-double with his 11 boards.

Nebraska just was not able to get anything going from the field. They shot just 36 percent on the night, including 4-for-16 from deep. The loud crowd at Assembly Hall assisted the Cornhuskers in turning the ball over 14 times, while NU dished out just three assists. Dylan Talley was the leading scorer with 16 points.

Up next for No. 1 Indiana is a home game with Purdue on Saturday at 2 p.m. ET. Nebraska will take the court next on Saturday night as they welcome in Tom Izzo and No. 8 Michigan State.
