No. 3 Miami vs. Florida State final score: Hurricanes survive Seminoles, 74-68

The Seminoles had multiple chances to tie the game late, but nothing would fall as they fell short of pulling the big upset.

The Miami Hurricanes edged the Florida State Seminoles on Wednesday night, escaping with a 74-68 road win in Tallahassee. The win keeps Miami perfect in ACC play, moving them to 11-0 against conference foes.

Miami led just about the entire way. The Seminoles tried to make one final push in the final four minutes, but turnovers and poor shot selection hindered any chance they had at dealing the ‘Canes their first loss in nearly two months.

FSU got the deficit down to three points with 30 seconds remaining, but a three-point attempt from Ian Miller went in-and-out. Free throws effectively sealed the deal for UM as the clock wound down.

Shane Larkin led the Hurricanes with 18 points and five assists. Big man Reggie Johnson continued to be a force off the bench, adding in 14 points and eight rebounds. As a team, Miami shot an impressive 63 percent from the field.

Okaro White was the leading scorer for FSU with 15 points. White also led the team with seven rebounds. Devon Bookert had a big second half on his way to a 12-point performance. FSU's leading scorer, Michael Snaer, had a night to forget, scoring nine points on 3-for-9 shooting.

Next up for Miami is a trip to Clemson on Sunday night. Florida State will look to get back on track against a scrappy Boston College team on Saturday afternoon.
