No. 5 Gonzaga vs. San Francisco final score: Bulldogs get road win

Kelly Olynyk continued his tear through the WCC on Saturday.

Ed Szczepanski-USA TODAY Sports

Kelly Olynyk led the No. 5 Gonzaga Bulldogs with 26 points, and they managed a 71-61 road win over the San Francisco Dons on Saturday.

Olynyk, a 7’0 junior, is in the middle of a breakout season. He averaged 5.8 points per game as a sophomore, and Saturday’s total bumped him up to 18.0 points per game this season.

Gonzaga moved one game closer to an undefeated West Coast Conference schedule; it's now 12-0 after Thursday's 77-60 win over the second-place St. Mary's Gaels and Saturday's 10-point road win. The Bulldogs have four conference games left before the WCC tournament, taking the court next at home Wednesday against the Santa Clara Broncos.

The Bulldogs’ lead shrunk as low as six points late, but they closed out to avoid their third loss of the season.

Elias Harris added 17 points and 14 rebounds for the Bulldogs.
