The Wildcats (20-5, 9-3 Big 12) shot just 44.8 percent overall, but made 11-of-25 from three-point land. Angel Rodriguez led Kansas State with 22 points and 10 assists. Shane Southwell had 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting, with all six of those makes coming from long range. Jordan Henriquez added a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Kansas State controlled play for much of the game, opening up a 12-point lead in the first half and leading 38-29 at the break. The Bears (16-9, 7-5 Big 12) did trim the deficit to two with just under 13 minutes to play, but a 16-4 Wildcats run helped put the game out of reach. The victory ensures that Kansas State remains tied atop the Big 12 standings.
A.J. Walton led Baylor with 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting. The Bears had problems holding on to the ball all night, coughing it up 21 times to just six for the Wildcats.
