No. 5 Florida vs. Arkansas final score: Gators rebound with 71-54 win

Florida bounced back from a close loss at Missouri earlier this week to blow out Arkansas, 71-54 at home, behind four starters in double figures.

USA TODAY Sports

As fans have come to expect, the No. 5 Florida Gators used a balanced attack to defeat the Arkansas Razorbacks, 71-54 Saturday night at home to rebound from a tough loss at Missouri earlier this week.

Four players scored in double figures for Florida, led by 15 points from guard Mike Rosario. Patric Young (14 points), Erik Murphy (12 points) and Kenny Boynton (12 points) were the other Gators with double digits in scoring. Scottie Wilbekin, the other starter, did not score, but he dished out six assists to help his teammates.

Coty Clarke led Arkansas with 18 points and Anthlon Bell came off the bench to add 14 more, including four threes. Bell's quartet of baskets from beyond the arc accounted for four of the six made attempts for Arkansas from long range. The Razorbacks missed their other 21 tries.

While the win certainly helps Florida as it remains in the hunt for a No. 1 seed and looks to finish off an SEC championship, the loss is a big missed opportunity for Arkansas. The Razorbacks came into the game likely sitting on the wrong side of the NCAA Tournament bubble, and had they upset the Gators, it would have been a huge statement victory. Arkansas still has four regular-season games left and can still recover, especially if it can beat Missouri and Kentucky.
