When the Memphis Tigers visit the Southern Miss Golden Eagles on Saturday, they'll be without one of their biggest contributors. Shaq Goodwin will be suspended after he picked up a flagrant foul late in the second half of Wednesday night's game against the SMU Mustangs.
Shaq Goodwin suspended for Saturday’s game vs. Southern Miss
The Memphis Tigers will be without their freshman against the Golden Eagles due to his ejection on Wednesday night.

L. Jason Smith of the Memphis Commercial Appeal spoke with a Conference USA representative that told him because it was a flagrant foul, it’s an automatic one-game suspension. However, the play will still be reviewed by the league.
The freshman Goodwin is averaging 22.9 minutes per contest and has played in all 21 games this season. He's dropping 8.9 points per game and grabbing 5.4 rebounds while shooting 48.1 percent from the field. Goodwin finished in double figures in two of his last four games, and scored a career-high 20 points against the Ohio Bobcats on Dec. 5.
The Tigers defeated the Mustangs, 60-52, despite Goodwin’s absence at the end of the game to stay perfect in conference play.
