Seeding for the 2013 Big East Tournament was finalized on Saturday, with the Georgetown Hoyas earning the No. 1 seed by virtue of their head-to-head records against both Louisville and Marquette. All three teams ended the conference season 14-4, but the Hoyas were 2-1 against the Cardinals and Golden Eagles, earning them top billing at Madison Square Garden when festivities kick off on Tuesday.
Big East Tournament 2013 bracket: Georgetown earns No. 1 seed
The Georgetown Hoyas, 61-39 winners over Syracuse on Saturday, earned the No. 1 seed in the 2013 Big East Tournament, to be played at Madison Square Garden in New York City.


Louisville, the No. 2 seed, is the defending conference tournament champion. Georgetown has won a conference record-tying seven Big East championships. The winner of the Big East tourney has made the last two Final Fours.
