Penn State Nittany Lions guard D.J. Newbill hit a 15-foot jumper with 5.6 seconds left in the game to tie his team with the Wisconsin Badgers, but Traevon Jackson nailed a buzzer-beating three-pointer to help Bo Ryan's squad escape with a 63-60 road victory on Sunday.

The shot by Jackson gave him 15 points, and he also led the Badgers with four assists.
Jermaine Marshall led the Nittany Lions with 23 points on 9-of-20 shooting, D.J. Newbill scored 22 points himself and led Penn State with five assists, but the offensive production outside of that duo was limited. PSU only got three points off the bench and shot 43 percent from the floor.
Wisconsin jumped out to a 14-5 lead five minutes into the game, but the Nittany Lions used a 10-0 run in the heart of the first half to take a 21-18 lead five minutes before halftime. PSU led the No. 22 team in the nation 25-24 at halftime, and the low-scoring game continued into the second half.
After the two squads combined for just five bench points in the first half, the Badgers got a lift in the second from Sam Dekker, who finished with 12 points in the second half and 14 for the game.
Ben Brust added 13 points and hit a trio of three-pointers on the day, and Jared Berggren aided the Badgers with a double-double of 12 points and 10 boards.
