Montana and Weber State were the class of the Big Sky Conference this season, finishing a combined 37-3 in league play. The two teams split their season series, but the Grizzlies edged the Wildcats by a game to win the regular season conference championship.
Big Sky basketball standings 2013: Montana claims regular season title
The Grizzlies lost just one game in league play this season and captured the regular season title as a result.

Aside from those two, only North Dakota finished with a winning record in league play, while a couple of teams finished at .500. No member of the league has the resume necessary to earn an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament, so the stakes for the league tournament that begins on Thursday are high. Montana has a leg-up on the field, as it received a bye into the semifinal round by virtue of its first-place finish in the regular season.
