The Iona Gaels, the fourth seed in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament, played their way into the championship game by upsetting the top-seeded Niagara Purple Eagles Sunday. Iona will face the Manhattan Jaspers, who beat Fairfield Sunday, at 9 p.m. ET Monday on ESPN2 for the MAAC championship.
MAAC Tournament 2013 Championship: Iona vs. Manhattan
The No. 4 seed will play the No. 6 seed in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament final on Monday.

Iona received a strong effort from David Laury, who had 20 points and 17 rebounds against Niagara. Laury is the team's top rebounder, so his work on the boards was not particularly surprising, but he's only third on the team in scoring, so his offensive output provided a nice spark for the Gaels. Laury averages 12.9 points per game for the season.
Iona will rely on high scoring duo Lamont Jones (23.5 points per game) and Sean Armand (17.1 points per game) to try and lead the team to the league title Monday.
Manhattan, the six seed in the tournament, split two regular season games with Iona. The Jaspers are led by George Beamon, who averages 13.4 points per game, and Rhamel Brown, who scores 11.7 points per game.
