USC Trojans DeWayne Dedmon and James Blasczyk have been suspended from the basketball team indefinitely for a violation of team rules, according to the Orange County Register's Rich Hammond. In a possibly related incident, several players were involved in an altercation last Saturday in Spokane, Wash. that sent four to the hospital, the Oregonian reports.
USC suspends DeWayne Dedmon, James Blasczyk indefinitely for violation of team rules
The Trojans suspended a pair of seven-footers on Monday.

The team had been returning from a trip that ended with losses to Washington and Washington State. USC was blown out by the last-place Cougars, 76-51, on Saturday afternoon.
Dedmon has been a force in the middle for USC all season. He excels on the glass, grabbing nearly 12 percent of his teammates’ and 24 percent of opponents’ misses. Dedmon is among the best in the Pac-12 at protecting the rim, blocking 10 percent of two-pointers while on the floor.
Blascyk is a little-used center that logged just 58 minutes in conference play. The Trojans face Utah on Wednesday in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament.
