The final Big East Tournament is set to hit Madison Square Garden from March 12-16. A total of 13 games will determine which program heads to the NCAA Tournament with an automatic bid. If recent history is any indication, fans should expect the unexpected in New York City this week.
Big East Tournament 2013 predictions: Louisville favored to win championship
Who do the experts like to cut down the nets at Madison Square Garden? One team seems to be the emerging as the favorite.

In Las Vegas, Louisville received the highest odds at +140. Georgetown is second at +200, while Syracuse is a distant third at +350.
Jeff Borzello of CBS Sports writes there is plenty up for grabs this year. Not only is there the pride factor of being the last team to win the Big East Tournament, but there’s also plenty of jockeying for seeding left to do. A win would likely make Louisville or Georgetown a No. 1 seed in the Big Dance, while a school like Syracuse could really benefit from a couple of big wins. In the end, Borzello says Louisville will win.
As for ESPN, Myron Medcalf believes Louisville’s defense will propel them to the conference championship. According to Kenpom’s defensive efficiency ratings, the Cardinals are the best defensive team in the country.
Over at Team Rankings, the numbers give Louisville a 44 percent chance of winning the conference this week. Pittsburgh came in second at 17 percent, while Syracuse is surprising third at 13 percent.
