The Kansas Jayhawks have won five of the last seven Big 12 conference tournament titles and are favored again at most sportsbooks to repeat in 2013.
Big 12 Odds: Kansas tops conference tournament betting lines again
Kansas is favored on the Big 12 odds menu as their conference tournament tips off. But Kansas State and Oklahoma State are chasing and are solid bets to challenge the Jayhawks, according to Odds Shark.


If they can continue that dominance and win this week’s Big 12 tournament they might be rewarded with a No. 1 seed in the upcoming NCAA tournament.
But the Kansas State Wildcats, who finished in a first-place tie with KU during the regular-season, and the Oklahoma State Cowboys, among others, would probably love nothing more at the moment than to wipe that smug smile off Rock Chalk Nation’s face. Bovada has KU at 5/7 odds.
Last year the Missouri Tigers, as the two seed, beat the Baylor Bears to win the Big 12 tournament. This year Mizzou played its first season as a member of the SEC, so they're not around to defend that title.
As for NCAA tournament possibilities the situation in the Big 12 is fairly delineated; Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Iowa State and Oklahoma are all probably in, regardless of what happens in the conference tournament.

Big 12 tournament play begins Wednesday at the Spirit Center in Kansas City as eighth-seeded West Virginia squares off against ninth-seeded Texas Tech, and seventh-seeded Texas goes against 10th-seeded TCU.
In Thursday’s quarterfinals the Jayhawks get the winner of the Mountaineers-Red Raiders game; second-seeded K State gets the winner of the Longhorns-Horned Frogs game; third-seeded OSU plays sixth-seeded Baylor; and fourth-seeded Oklahoma battles fifth-seeded Iowa State.
Friday’s semifinals will skim the field down to two teams, who will then play in the Big 12 tournament championship game Saturday (6 pm ET, ESPN).
In Big 12 Conference tournament betting, Bovada is listing Kansas as a 5/7 favorite, followed by Kansas State at 9/2, Oklahoma State at 5/1, Baylor 10/1, Iowa State at 8/1 and Oklahoma at 12/1, Texas at 33/1, West Virginia at 75/1 and longshots TCU and Texas Tech at 250/1.
