The ACC Tournament opens on Thursday with the North Carolina State Wolfpack and the Florida State Seminoles marking the highest-seeded teams in action on the first day of action. Miami, Duke, North Carolina and Virginia have byes until Friday.
ACC Tournament 2013 schedule and bracket: Florida State, NC State highlight Thursday action
The 2012 ACC Tournament champions, the Florida State Seminoles, open the 2013 tournament as a six seed while the North Carolina State Wolfpack also highlight Thursday’s action.


Senior guard Michael Snaer leads his FSU team into the postseason with the Seminoles a No. 6 seed and looking to make another magical run through the ACC. Last season, FSU earned a first-round bye and rolled through this year's top seed, Miami, before beating a No. 6 nationally-ranked Duke squad and a No. 4 nationally-ranked North Carolina team in the tournament championship.
The Seminoles, play the final game of Thursday against No. 11 seed Clemson.
The tournament in Greensboro, N.C., opens with the Boston College Eagles going at the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. That game is followed by the No. 5-seed N.C. State squad and C.J. Leslie facing No. 12-seeded Virginia Tech, whose Erick Green leads the nation with a 25.4 point-per-game average.
No. 7 Maryland and No. 10 Wake Forest play the third contest of Thursday before the Seminoles and Tigers cap the night.
